Accommodation

The UPC has an International Office with extensive experience in managing, accommodating and welcoming third-country students. The assistance and experience of these offices is necessary to provide the required documents for obtaining visas for third-country students that need them, provide information and assistance for housing, and so on. The International Office has already been providing these services to Ph. D. students, visiting professors and researchers. The UPC also provides a residence dedicated to students, with a cultural and tourist information office, as well as individual internet connections.

Social and physical activities (sports) will be proposed as an extra curricula programme to facilitate the integration of the students in the local university communities, thus allowing them to bond and improve their language skills.

When joining the Master programme, an advisor is assigned to each student. The advisor takes care of the student's study plan and acts as his or her mentor. Furthermore, the advisor makes sure that the student fits well into the institution, providing him/her with local information or addressing the student to the right office for help.

Language

The consortium acknowledges the value of European language diversity, and needs to facilitate mobility and quick integration of students. In consequence, the consortium has adopted the following language policy: the Master will be taught in English, facilitating fast integration; but language facilities are available for the students in order to learn local language/s, with gradual exposure to it. Students when coming to the UPC will be offered to follow Spanish (Castellano and Catalan) courses, either lecture and interactive or discussion panels.
